Who are we? We are your neighbors! We are concerned citizens of Woodstock precinct 12, population of xx,000 who care about our society and seek to make life better locally here in Woodstock and ultimately, for everyone throughout Cherokee Country, Georgia and the nation.
As Republicans, we may not agree on everything but we do care strongly about individual rights, equal rule of law, and personal freedom. We also believe in civil discourse, in the right of people to hold differing opinions amicably, and we work to promote a culture of persuasion over cancellation and intimidation. If this sounds like you, you may just be a Republican, so read on, comment and join us!
Why should you care? Well, did you know that in our last election, the one for city council and mayor (the most important elected positions guiding public life so close to home), only xx% of us voted? Or that in Canton, the mayor (a past supporter of Stacy Abrams) was elected with only 5,000 votes? Ultimately, none of us live alone, we are all connected together at least a little through public life, so yes, this stuff matters and while it may take a bit of time to read a few websites in order to best decide how to vote, or it may take a few dollars to spend in support of candidates or issues that you care about, what’s the alternative? Do nothing? Give up on reading or voting and thereby forfeit your voice out to others who are more involved? Perhaps that might have been fine in the past but not so much now when there are big differences in candidates and ideas who may ultimately enact policies that interfere with your right to be left alone.
Our goal is to make this easy, so that the citizens of Woodstock Precinct 12 and informed and empowered to “vote smart” and express their will in each and every election. We aim to provide timely and accurate information for voters, balanced yet lively information on candidates and issues, and advice and inside information for those who seek to be more actively involved.
